The Housing Corporation is the Government's principal agent for procuring new affordable housing in England. We plan to provide 84,000 new homes for up to 300,000 more people by 2008. At the same time we regulate the housing sector protecting the interests of two million households and the public purse. The London Field Office alone is responsible for an investment program worth £1.7 billion, to provide homes for 100,000 more people by 2008.

Fiona McGregor has moved to take up the national role of Head of Programme Delivery and therefore we are seeking a new Deputy Director of Investment London. This position is critical in helping Londoners obtain affordable housing and we need someone who knows how to achieve delivery on a large scale.

You will be responsible for the delivery of the London Investment Programme, meeting the targets and needs set out in the London Housing Strategy. You will lead the London Investment team and will work with our mix of RSL and private developer Investment Partners, to ensure that we deliver the quality homes that London needs. In doing this you will work closely with the Mayor, Greater London Authority, local authorities and a wide range of stakeholders. This is not a job for a shrinking violet.

We need someone who has the knowledge and experience of complex programme delivery. Someone who will be able to communicate and form effective relationships with our stakeholders, partners and external audiences. Someone who can understand the process and detail involved in housing. Someone who can make it happen.
